Cassie looked over at the map while Roy explained what they were going to do. She didn’t have any problems with it, so she just nodded her head. “Everyone have their weapons out? Also, if were traveling in the woods and we have to retreat or anything like that, we can hide up in the trees. These zombies don’t climb.”
With that, Cassie went towards the gate that seprated them from zombieland. ‘Well, guess there’s no turning back now.’ She slowly opened the gate, keeping a close eye on her surroundings. She could hear birds chirp very lightly and nothing was too out of the ordinary. Stepping out quietly she made sure not to step on a twig, one step on one of those, and it could be the reason why you may have died.
Reaching a tree, the blonde turned her head towards the guys, with a slight nod, telling them that coast was clear.
Kaldur watched Cassie go out, surveilling the area before glancing over at Roy then her again. He nodded and quickly, but quietly walked over. From here on out, it was whispering and motioning. With a bit of luck, they would never even see a zombie. But who’s luck is really that good these days?
‘What was left was a barren wasteland’ would have seemed appropriate, but Roy had a hunch the place—minus the overgrown lawns, the dirtied windows, and the almost eerie silence—had always been that way. Roy paced at the front of the group, prepared to mount and fire an arrow at any moment if the situation called for it, Cassie tailed behind him in the middle with Kaldur in the back. Most of the zombies in town either had fled to larger, more “populated” areas in search of food or had met their end at some point by way of the group.
“Hey!” Roy hissed in a hushed whisper, slowly stopping as they entered one of, or at least what used to be one of the more lavished neighborhoods. He raised his bow as he heard something rustle behind a car, glancing back at Cassie and Kaldur and then motioning towards the vehicle with his head. A can rolled from under it, and Roy prepared to shoot, almost releasing the arrow when a cat screeched and sprinted from under the car and across the street. Sighing, he lowered his bow, rolling his eyes and muttering, “It’s just a cat.”
Right behind the last breath of his comment, a crash and a chorus pained wails practically shook the house behind them. The cat that had sprinted into the house sprinted right back out, and soon the door flew of its hinges, a group of walkers on a mad dash for the animal. Roy dove backwards, raising his bow and wasting no time in shooting, stabbing one zombie in the knee to send it flying forward, and another to its head, making sure it didn’t get back up. “We need to move!”

Figuring out what to do while I’m alive has been a challenge, I doubt dying tomorrow would change that. I guess I would talk to Kaldur, maybe Jade to make death seem a little more pleasant, and… If I could, probably Ollie.

Oh I don’t know about that, I think you’re a pretty big asshole…
I always thought you were the perceptive one of the group…

Aw, how cute.
What’s really cute is how I haven’t reached your level of assholery yet. Sigh, almost there.

I’m even more of an asshole than everyone seems to thinks.
